to any particular candidate

are numerous
applicants for
many educational
appointments where qualifications must be fully weighed
I may add that I very much doubt
whether before any Candidate is finally selected,

Moreover it appears to me
doubtful whether the Salary
offered will be sufficient
to attract a
contented and
satisfactory University Teacher,
who will not like others
in other instances
be called to leave
Hongkong, and to take
up other employment in a few
years' time.
