I cannot see any reason why Mr. Baker's Petition should be granted, his long service and the appreciation of his services by the Government as shown in the Petition, should have enabled him to withstand temptation and have induced him to report these gambling houses, even if so doing lessened his income and necessitated a breach between himself and other members of the Police Force,
