your approval, I have appointed Mr Alfred Phillips Inspector of Nuisances at a salary of $720 rising by annual increments of $48 to $960 per annum in succession to Mr. T. Hore dismissed from the service.
Mr Phillips has been employed temporarily under the Sanitary Board during the interval between the dates of Mr. Hore's suspension from office and the receipt of your despatch under reference, and has given satisfaction in the performance of his duties. He has also passed a satisfactory medical examination.
