10th November, 1907.
On the 10th August of last year I had the honour of addressing you requesting that you might be pleased to recommend and to forward to H.E. the Governor a petition for an increase of salary.
His Excellency, on your acceding to my request, kindly forwarded my petition to the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, who, in reply, stated that after somewhat further service and provided that the work continued to increase and my services to give satisfaction he would not refuse to entertain my application.
I would again beg to request that an increase of salary be granted to me.
That the work has continued to increase, consideration of the following table will, I trust, show:-
Hon. Captain Rasey, R.N.,
