I. P. C. 556 Noorud Deen states: -I am a new man
I can't speak Chinese & English. Perhaps some other man got
the money in my number.
I. P. C. 535 Hakum Singh states:-The deponent
offered me one collar, I refused to take it. That was this
year. He then told me "I give those Sergeants $3 each a day,
why don't you take it". I deny receiving money. Deponent
threatened to report me to the Inspector at the Central
Station if I did not take the money.
I.P.C.650 Goolam Deen states: -I will tell
you the truth if you excuse me. I did not take any money.
(Note the man was told that I could make no promise of
pardon).
