Hon. Captain Supt. of Police.
Sir,

I have to report that on the 15th instant at 9.15 a.m. I paraded 9 Indian Constables without their numbers and a Chinaman identified P.C. 601 Hushmat Alli as having received bribes from him in connection with Cheung Hing Street and Wa Lane gaming houses.
P.C. 601 Heshmat Alli was stationed at No.7 Police Station and doing duty in the Western District on the 18th December 1896; he was transferred to No.7 on the 3rd November 1896.
P.C. 517 Kala Singh was doing duty in Lower Lascar Row (quite close to the gaming houses in Cheung Hing Street and Wa Lane) from 4th to 14th June inclusive.
15th September, 1897.
