Detective Staff, received this money or some considerable portion of it, and I strongly recommend that he be informed through the Secretary of State for the Colonies that he will not be re-employed.
He is at present on leave, and his leave expires on the 25th of December 1897 when he is due back in the Colony. In the ordinary course he would be re-engaged for another term of years on his return here.
He is 15 years pensionable and he has not earned it (I annex skeleton pension paper as also character roll).
