Inspector Hennessy states:- I never heard anything about the gambling in Wa Lane until after the Captain Supt. of Police seized the books. I know nothing about it. I should not be surprised if Yeung Fat had gone to get the money in my name because it is a common rumour that he has a large amount of property in the Colony.
