do not know whether Tang Kan paid the money to Ng Ying or not.
Tang Kam paid a large number of Police for me. I never had any complaint that Tang Kan did not pay the persons he was supposed to pay.
I recognise the list produced. It is a list of persons to whom I paid bush money in respect of the Wa Lane gambling house. The entry under the heading "Paid to Kan" "Ng Ying 2 again 1" refers to Ng Ying and means that at first I paid 20 cents a day for him and afterwards added 10 cents a day.
Ng Ying says:-
I do not know the witness. I know nothing about the matter, and I do not understand it. I never received any money.
