that I should have to pay. I then agreed to pay and said that I
would commence to pay on the next Monday. From that Monday Yeung
Fat came for the money every five days. I paid Yeung Fat for about
a year. Last year about the 5th, 2000, Tang Chung came to me and
said that the money for Corcoran was not to be paid to Yeung Fat
but was to be handed over to him to be paid to Corcoran. There was no reason given for the change.
After that Tang Chung used to send A Ting and then
Ayi to fetch the money. Daily payment was continued up to the 19th.
Tang Tan Chung is a Sergeant in the Police. Yeung Fat is a detective in the Police. Lui Cheung is a Sergeant in the Water Police.
Law Chi paid the money on account of the Cheung
Hing Street gambling house. I paid the gambling money for the Law's
Gambling house. Each gambling house made its own separate payments.
The Police who got money from one house for the past part got
money from the other. Four houses paid equal amounts. I do not
know the No.3 Head Policeman. I have never seen him to my acknowledge. I do not know the Police officer who is present (Chief
Inspector Corcoran).
