concerned and the pension papers of such of them as are qualified by length of service to pensions.
4. I have caused the latter to be informed that the question of their pensions will remain in abeyance until you have arrived at a decision in regard thereto, and I have to request that that decision may be communicated in due course by your department to me.
I am to request that such of these officers as may make application may do so at the Colonial Office. It is not improbable that some of them may remain in the Colony until an answer has been received from you on this subject.
