REPORT ON ORDINANCE 12 OF 1897.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance,
"An Ordinance to further amend The Medical
Registration Ordinance, 1884, and to repeal Ordinance
No.1 of 1897.*
and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not
contrary to the Governor's Instructions.
Ordinance No.1 of 1897 omitted, by a clerical
error, the word "Medical" before the word "Officers".
That Ordinance has, accordingly, been repealed
and, in the present Ordinance, the opportunity has also been
taken of inserting the proper present title of the occupant
of the office formerly known as that of the Colonial Surgeon,
viz., the Principal Civil Medical Officer.
