Instructions respecting the improvement of the accommodation for females in the Victoria Gaol will be borne in mind and carried out in conjunction with the extension of the Prison Hospital.
The negotiations with the owners of suitable new buildings for the proposed new site are at present proceeding, and when the terms of purchase, or, in the event of the failure of such negotiations, of resumption under Ordinance No. 23 of 1889 have been arranged, I will address you further in regard to particulars.
