Man who was named Chan was at the Antout Antion & that they should gain admittance by the private entrance.
15. On the following day, the remanded case came up for hearing, when the Crown Solicitor, for whose assistance I had applied, asked to have the first charge amended to one of keeping a gaming house at No. 2 Wa Lane, the information which he had gathered since the original charge was made rendering the alteration necessary.
The defendants' Solicitor was not prepared for this change, and a remand until the 3rd July was granted.
Three of the five other defendants did not surrender to their bail, and the two that did were discharged as I could not proceed against them.
The three who did not surrender included two of the principal employees (as I had learned since their arrest) of the establishment.
16. On the same day, The King brought the Chan Kinn trouble to me at my house.
