R. Chapman, Steward of the Government Civil Hospital, be placed on the permanent establishment of the public service of this Colony with effect from the 1st May last, the date of the termination of his temporary appointment.

Mr. Chapman has performed the duties of his office to my satisfaction certified by the Principal Civil Medical Officer and Dr Bell to be in a good state of health.

I enclose for your information a copy of the usual medical certificate.
