to strike off a special Jubilee Medal in gold and silver for presentation to the members of the Jubilee Committee and a few other gentlemen who interested themselves deeply
in an auspicious and unique event. The number of Medals will be about 15 gold and 25 silver and as in the case of the Lord Mayors in England Lord Provosts and Provosts I would ask you
238 you to endeavour to obtain Her Majesty's gracious permission to allow these medals to be worn with a ribbon in the usual manner.
