I hereby certify, that with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of Government, I have granted to D. P. B. C. Ayres, C.M.G. Colonial Surgeon, two months' vacation leave on full salary.

Two months' leave of absence on half-salary, and half-pay leave begins on:

*I hereby certify, that Mr. D. P. B. C. Ayres, C.M.G., has received full salary at the rate of $5,400 per annum as Colonial Surgeon up to the 29th April 1897, and that he is entitled to salary at the rate of $2,700 per annum from the 30th April 1897, to 28th June 1897, inclusive.

He is not a Contributor to the Widows' and Orphans' Fund.

The sum of $842.00 at the rate of 4/2 per dollar, being the net amount due to him after deducting his contribution.

He will draw his salary whilst on leave in England.
