I. While on duty in command of H.M.S. the detachments from the C. Agents have been authorised to pay Hongkong you will see an allowance 10/- a day, in addition to your full salary; and
2. I am to take this opportunity of informing you that a sum not exceeding 20/- for each non-commissioned officer and 4/8 Private under your charge may be expended at your discretion in showing them the sights of London, and the Crown Agents for the Colonies have been instructed to refund such expenditure from Hongkong funds on your applying to them.
