Dear Sirs,
Since receipt of your notice of the 11th December last, we have received instructions from Mrs. Marion Falconer to deny that she ever knowingly or intentionally assigned, transferred or set over unto Harriet & Falconer all or any of her interest as the widow and heir at law of the said Mathew Falconer, deceased, in the firm of M. Falconer, Tso.; Goldsmiths and jewellers in Hongkong, nor has she knowingly or intentionally agreed that Messrs. Harriet & Falconer should take or hold any share either for her own benefit or to hold in trust for our clients.
Under the circumstances, we are acting on behalf of our client to inform you that your client's claim will in no way be recognized, unless it is maintained in a Court of law.
