Gentlemen,
As solicitors acting for and on behalf of Harriet P. Falconer, late of the City of Chicago Illinois, but now of this place, we hereby give you notice that by a certain deed under seal bearing date the 13th day of February 1882, one Marianne Falconer of the said City of Chicago, the widow of Matthew Falconer, deceased did sell, assign, transfer, and set over unto the said Harriet P. Falconer (inter alia) all her interest as the widow and heir at law of the said Matthew Falconer, deceased, in and to the co-partnership, assets, and property of the firm of M. Falconer The Goldsmiths and Jewellers in Hongkong to hold the said property unto the said Harriet P. Falconer, her executors, administrators, and assigns, to her own proper use, and benefit for ever and we hereby give you further notice not to part with the said interest in the said firm of M. Falconer to any other person save to the said Harriet P. Falconer only, and moreover to render to her, the said Harriet P. Falconer, or to us the undersigned with all convenient speed an estimate of the value of the interest of the
