She said James Falconer left considerable personal Estate.

In the year 1877 action was taken in the said Court in original jurisdiction. Suit No. 6 of 1877, the parties being William Saylor Falconer, Plaintiff, and Isabella Brichim Falconer Defendant, I have perused the papers in the said Suit and beg leave to refer to the opinion of Mr. I. I. Francis, Q.C. which is filed in the said Court.

At first I was instructed by the Petitioners that Matthew Falconer was not a son of the said James Falconer deceased and therefore not entitled to any share of the Estate. Mrs Falconer made certain statements regarding entries of names in the Falconer family bible and requested me to write to The General Registry Office, Edinburgh asking for extracts from the Register relative to the birth of the said three and of the said James Falconer deceased. I did so and received a reply and copies of two entries. Mr Falconer did not appear to be satisfied with the information obtained and in consultation with Counsel I was advised to write again for official extracts including the entry in the Registry of the birth of the said Matthew Falconer. I wrote accordingly and sent the fees necessary. I obtained certified extracts from the Register of Births and Baptisms for the Parish of Perth in the County of Perth: and the extracts relating to the births of the said three sons are similar to each other and
