LEAVE CERTIFICATE

I hereby certify, that with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of Government, I have granted to Mr. G It Watling, Quarter Master Sergeant, Hong Kong Volunteer Corps - other leave of absence on half salary, from the 27th April, 1897 to the of October, 1897 inclusive.

His half-pay leave began on the 27th April, 1897 and his full pay leave ceased on the same date.

I hereby certify, that Mr. G Watling, Quarter Master Sergeant, Hong Kong Volunteer Corps, has received Full salary at the rate of $2160 per annum to the 26th April, 1897 and that he is entitled to salary at the rate of $2160 per annum from the 27th April, 1897 to the of October, 1897, inclusive, and thereafter to salary at half rate.

Thereafter deductions will be made in accordance with the regulations for the Widows' and Orphans' Fund.

He will draw his salary whilst on leave in England.

I hereby certify, That the above leave was granted to commence on the 27th of April, 1897, and to cease on the of October 1897, on the ground of ill health, and that the Medical Certificate was produced, of which a copy is annexed, in accordance with the special agreement between the Government and Mr Watling dated 22th April, 1897.
