Quarter Master sergeant of the Hongkong Volunteer Corps, leave of absence on full pay from the 27th instant to the 9th October inclusive, in consideration of his entering into agreement to serve the Government in his present capacity, and on his present salary, for five years from the 1st proxime.

I enclose a copy of the said Agreement, and have requested the Crown Agents to issue salary in accordance with its provisions.

I enclose also the leave certificate altered to suit the special circumstances of the case.
