His pay is $100 a month and $30 allowance for quarters, whereas during Mr. Ford's 8 months leave of absence his average monthly pay will be only $128, and though he will have the use of the Superintendent's house his expenses in connection with it will greatly exceed those he had to incur on account of his former residence.

3. Under all the circumstances I consider Mr Tutcher's case a hard one and venture to recommend that Regulation 108 may be relaxed in this instance so as to enable him to draw his full salary and half the Superintendent's salary when available.
