pension. Dr Eitel has been granted four months vacation leave from the 15th instant and will then retire from the service. He has proceeded to Adelaide where he intends to settle, and I have accordingly requested the Government of South Australia to issue leave pay and pension to him on behalf of this Government as it becomes due.
