I have granted to Mr. H. B. Lethbridge, Superintendent of Victoria Gaol, Four months vacation leave with absence on half-salary and his half pay leave on full salary.

Lethbridge has received Full salary at the rate of $4,200 per annum as Supt. of the Victoria Gaol up to the 29th March 1897, and that he is entitled to salary at the rate of $3,840 per annum from the 30th March 1897, to 29th July 1897, inclusive, and thereafter to salary at the rate of $3,840 per annum at the rate of exchange of $4 per £1, being the net amount due to him after deducting his contribution to the Widows' and Orphans' Fund.
He will draw his salary whilst on leave in England.
