Mr. Kerry

in 1888 under the

conditions set forth in Gazette: notification N.500 of 1888, of which I enclose a copy.

2. It was resold last year in consequence of the non-observance of condition 7 respecting the payment of Crown rent, which was three half years in arrear, the Treasurer being unable to find the owner of the property, or any agent.

Mr Perry had also failed to comply with condition 6 regarding the erection of buildings on this site.

3. I cannot find that Mr. Perry ever sought or obtained the Governor's consent before engaging in this speculation in land, but I mention that he had may left the Colony before the Regulations, of which I enclose a copy, (Gazette Notification 406 of 1899), were brought into effect.
