The Governor has readily accepted the
suggestion contained in parag: 2 of
our Despatch
on 26628 & strongly recommends Mr Buckle as Acting Colonial Secretary.
He recommends that the appointment should date from the 1st January last & that the year during which Mr Buckle acted in this post should
count as the year's service towards the biennial
increment of $300 which attaches to the Post.
