arrangements already reported are having beneficial effect. Dr Chung has already sent 7591 cases under his treatment, two have been removed from Tungwa to the Alice Memorial.
The Director, Mr Thomson, is evidently well-disposed towards the new régime and is showing tact and not rushing matters.
We are not told whether funds are coming in as well as before from the Chinese.
This Despatch, to some extent, at least, proves the wisdom of the new Measures of appointments that a full report of their working should be submitted at a later date.
