I have the honour to

acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated the 21st inst., notifying that I am granted a pension of £2560 per annum at 3/8 to the dollar, as Deputy Registrar

and

Appraiser of the Supreme Court of Hongkong, the pension to commence from the 21st inst.

The object I have, Sir, in addressing you on this matter, is the rate of exchange at which my pension

has been fixed.
