TITLE

Inspector of Live Stock and Inspector of Markets.

DUTIES

1. To inspect all cattle on their importation into the Colony, and sheep, goats, swine and other animals when deemed necessary.

2. To inspect all cattle, sheep, goats and swine about to be slaughtered in the public slaughter-houses.

3. To inspect any cattle suspected of being diseased and to enforce the laws of the Colony dealing with diseased animals, and animals unfit for slaughtering for the food of man.

4. To take charge of the public depots for cattle, sheep and swine, and to enforce the bye-laws regulating the same.

5. To take charge of the public slaughter-houses and enforce the bye-laws regulating the same.

6. To examine dead meat and fish suspected of being unwholesome and give evidence regarding the same in the Law Courts.

7. To take charge of the public food markets, and enforce the bye-laws regulating the same.
