I have the honour to apply for the very
short extension of leave which I ventured to suggest at the Colonial office yesterday, & respecting which I beg to lay before you the following facts:
I entered Gray's Inn as a student
of law in November 1895, and within the short period of 12 months, after most arduous studies have succeeded in passing all my law examinations
in which I attribute
precision of work so constantly
