M. Jones is a schoolmaster in Hongkong who has acted as magistrate's clerk. He wants prolonged extension in order to complete his studies to qualify for the bar, but we do not care whether he is called or not & the governor does not care. It is simply in his own interest & the governor has reported against further extending his leave. Further extension should not be granted.
202 Should he be transferred to another colony as a magistrate?
