On 21st February last, I gave intimation to the Crown Agents for the Colonies, that Mr. John Mathison, late Chief Inspector of Police Hongkong, died at Barff upon 7th February.
I find among the late Mr. Mathison's papers, a letter from your office dated 6th January last, intimating that a pension of £... was granted.
