Having heard on good authority that the present Inspector of Schools there, is resigning his appointment in April next, I have the honour to apply for the position, when it falls vacant.
I have spent several twenty-one years, out of my thirty-three years of service in Hong Kong, in the Educational department, and had previously had nine years' experience in scholastic work in England.
I was also at one time, Head Master of one of the Grant-in-aid schools in the Colony; and I have been on the Committee of the Oxford Local Examinations in the Colony for the last two years.
