In reply to your letter of 31st ultimo inquiring
whether the Secretary for Scotland is in a position to
recommend any suitable candidate from the Scotch Prisons
for the post of trained Hospital Warder in the Gaol
Hospital Hong Kong, I am directed to state for the information of Mr Secretary Chamberlain that there is no
unmarried warder on the Scotch Prison Staff available.
