Your letter of the 5th instant,
I am directed by the Secretary of State for War to acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary Chamberlain, that a report has been received from the Senior Officer Commanding at Hongkong on the subject of the Military Reserves; but that, in consequence of a misunderstanding at the Station, it has been necessary to make a further communication to him.
An answer to this communication is shortly expected from the Station.
