As reported in my despatch No.245 of the 30th ultimo, I duly communicated to the Spanish Government a copy of the proclamation of the Governor of the Straits Settlements prohibiting the export of arms and ammunition to the Philippines.
I now have the honour to transmit a translation of the Duke of Tetuan's reply expressing the thanks of the Spanish Government for this proof of the friendliness of Her Majesty's Government.
