With reference to Your Lordship's despatch No.123 of September 24th I have the honour to transmit herewith copy and translation of a Note from the Spanish Government expressing their thanks to Her Majesty's Government for the action taken, with a view to preventing filibustering expeditions to the Philippines from British Colonies.
Publicity has been given to the action of Her Majesty's Government in the matter in most of the leading Spanish Papers.
