You will remember this case. The agents of a French Steamer at Hongkong applied to obtain a Passenger Certificate under the provisions of Ordinance 26 of 1891.
It was held that under the Colonial Merchant Shipping Ordinance 26 of 91, Section 5, subsection (a 2 and 6) the officers must produce the original Certificates. This the French Consul disputed & alleged it was contrary to a convention.
