instant, transmitting a copy of a despatch with enclosures from the Governor of Hong Kong respecting the necessity for the production of the original Certificates of the officers and engineers of Steam Ships for which Passenger Certificates are required,
In reply, the Board desire me to state for the information of Mr. Secretary Chamberlain, that in the case of Steam Ships which undergo Survey for Passenger Certificates in the United Kingdom the Board's Surveyors are instructed to insist upon the production of the original
