Trustees in connexion with the Note Issue should not in the future be accepted at the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank.
If their Lordships concur, the Secretary of State proposes to approve of the suggestion.
Having regard to the considerations put forward by the Consul on 8th inst., the Governor proposed to instruct the Crown Agents not to issue in future any Crown Bonds as security in this connexion.
I am to request that their Lordships may be informed, at their earliest convenience, if they concur in this course.
