Securities exceeds by $360,610 the amount of the Reserve which the Bank is required to deposit and we propose, with Mr Secretary Chamberlain's concurrence, to allow the proposed exchange of Securities. I enclose for the signature of Sir Robert Meade, the letter to the Bank of England which is required for the completion of the transaction.
