Referring to your letter of the 20th October 1893,
I have the honour to report, for the information of the
Secretary of State, that in accordance with a telegram
dated the 19th instant which we received from the Governor
of Hong Kong we drew on the Colonial Treasurer under date
of the 20th instant on demand for $100,000 realizing at
the exchange of 2/2% per dollar the sum of £10,904. 12. 9
