Colony Hong Kong Police

MEDICAL CERTIFICATE.

483

C.O.

C01

4th January: 1899.

I hereby certify that I have this day medically examined Mr A. Mann and am of opinion that he is in good bodily health but not in all respects physically capable of resuming the duties of a Police Inspector in the Colony of Hong Kong.

I am &c,

(Sd) Douglas Maclagan Knt M.D.

I beg to append a note to this report.

28 Heriot Row,

Edinburgh

4th January 1896

Mr A. Hann whom I have examined today, has had some intermittent fever, though not of a severe type, and also a tendency to occasional attacks of diarrhoea. He has not any sign of organic lesion.

He has had a slight recurrence of his fever but ought to regain his health under European air.

He has had nine months leave but ought in my opinion to have an extension of three months leave from the expiry of his furlough, before resuming his duties of an Inspector of Constabulary at Hong Kong.

(Sd) Douglas Maclagan Knt M.D.
