With the exception of the items "Light Dues" and Military Expenditure which will form the subject of separate despatches, the Estimates met with no opposition and the Appropriation Ordinance passed without any amendment. I therefore beg to recommend that Her Majesty be advised not to exercise her power of disallowance in respect of the Appropriation Ordinance for 1897.
