I have the honour to further address His Excellency the Governor in reference to my case of being allowed the privilege to draw Exchange Compensation.
I have been informed that my brother, Francis Hazeland of the Supreme Court, is drawing Exchange Compensation on his salary because of the official position he holds in the Court.
I would esteem it a favour if I could be informed what Honourable Position I would have to hold in this Department to be allowed to draw Exchange Compensation on my salary.
As many Officers of lower positions than I in this Department are drawing Exchange Compensation, I respectfully request that my case be considered by the Colonial Secretary.
