Sir,
I have the honour to lay the following statements before you and request that you shall be pleased to graciously consider this humble petition in reference to participate in the benefits of the Exchange Compensation.
When the Exchange Compensation was first offered to Officers in the Government Service I was informed that I was not entitled to the Compensation.
In March 1895 I addressed the Right Honourable Earl of Ripon, K.G., the then Secretary of State for the Colonies, on the subject.
