LICENCE FOR THE CONVEYANCE OF CHINESE EMIGRANTS.

Whereas (1) ... of the (2) ... have duly applied for a Licence for the conveyance of Chinese Emigrants by the said Ship, and have furnished all necessary particulars as to the Destination of the said Ship and as to all other matters: Now, I, ... Governor of the Colony of Hongkong, do hereby, by virtue of the authority conferred upon me by the aforesaid Ordinance, license the said Ship to carry any number of Chinese Passengers not exceeding ... from Hongkong to ...

This Licence is not transferable, and shall be available only for one voyage from Hongkong to ... and is granted upon the condition that the said Ship clears out and proceeds to sea on or before the ... day of ... unless I, the Governor aforesaid, do in Council extend such period.

This Licence is granted upon the condition that, I, the Governor aforesaid, may in my discretion cancel or revoke the same at any time before the said Ship clears out and proceeds to sea.
