2. Dr Eitel is 58 years of age and his service dates from the 25th March 1878. As the only leave of absence he has enjoyed was from the 28th February to the 22nd November, 1883, he would be entitled on the date of his retirement to a pension at the rate of 24/16ths is not present, assuming it is 24ths as originally of his annual salary, which is $4,050. He asks, however, that some additional consideration may be granted to him under Rule 8 of the Pension Minute, in respect of the following special services rendered in excess and beyond the scope of his several substantive appointments:
